David Harr - Past University of Notre Dame Associate Vice President

An alumnus of the University of Notre Dame, David Harr is an accomplished executive with more than three decades of operations management experience across hospitality, campus services, and retail. He is a proven leader with proficiency in strategic planning, budget administration, staff supervision, and turnaround management. A Philadelphia native who worked more than 30 years in Notre Dame, Indiana, David Harr is the owner and CEO of QZ Consulting, LLC, where he helps organizations improve their performance through data-driven insights and innovative strategies.

Prior to founding QZ Consulting, Mr. Harr was a peer group advisor with REF Indiana. He further served on the boards of several organizations including the Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County, the City of South Bend’s Century Center, St. Joseph County Hotel/Motel Tax Board, and the Indiana Hotel & Lodging Association.

Earlier, Mr. Harr served as associate vice president for auxiliary and facility operations at the University of Notre Dame for 18 years. In this role, he provided strategic oversight for a wide range of campus enterprises including an 8,000-student dining program, the 150-room Morris Inn hotel, conference services, bookstore and retail services, St. Michael’s Laundry, and the university’s licensing programs. He also chaired four university advisory committees and sat in three others. His leadership helped modernize services, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen financial performance across multiple departments. In addition to his MBA, he earned his BS in business management from Bloomsburg University and held senior positions with Inn America Corporation at the start of his career.
